At my school anyway we don't really have different positions between people although we do different things in the different years.

Well, Out of every single pupil in the school, me, and this other girl who was also elected (we do boy and girl) have the highest authority!

What do you mean by "highest authority"? Does that mean you're involved in student activities that go around in the school? Do you work (or argue! ) with the teachers in saying what choice of activities do you have, or is it just focused on dealing with the student body only?
I used to be part of the student activities council a year ago before transferring to another school, which meant I and other student representatives have more say in what activities were going around in the school, how much money we could obtain for those activities. There were often times where the student government butts head with the teachers and other school officials controlling the money because we thought the money was being spent on things that weren't necessary (or that no money was spent on things that students wanted fixed).
So... what do you plan on doing with your school council position?
