Story:
One night, you are wandering alone in the forest.
Suddenly, you hear a screech.
Your mind starts whirling.
You look up.
You see a huge dragon with a sorcerer on its back.
The sorcerer tells you to go to the castle of Daklarl.
You wake up. You were dreaming all along, but you know that your dream was a message from the sorcerer.
You set out on your quest.

Alright. I'll tell you what it has to do with collision. About a quarter of the way through the game, you meet the sorcerer outside of your dream. He tells you that this world and another world are colliding with each other, releasing Daklarl, so you must stop him from destroying this world.
