Imagine this: You post a long compliment about someone's project. You submit the comment. You realize that you accidentally typed a swear word. You try to change it back, but you can't edit your comment. I can recall several times where I accidentally spelled a word wrong and wished I could do something about it. I really think we should be able to edit our comments on the main site. Anyone agree?

Yes. I typed a comment on a project, and I accidentally misspelled the word "flag". Whoops. Then, I got a message from The Almighty Scratch Team.

Yes, I agree. I think that several minutes after we post a comment, we should still be able to edit it or delete it. ^^

Yea! Once I mispelled pass, as in password, and forgot the P

And another time I said I'll add you, as in add you to my list of friends, but the d key is beside the s. Guess what happened!

Honestly, this is a feature that we should have had from the start.

It censors swear words though and won't let you post the comment if it detects a not-allowed word.

Yes, but it doesn't fix common spelling errors, even if it isn't a swear word. I've been playing this one RPG lately (I bookmarked it, you can look at it at My Stuff) and this one guy already made about 3 spelling errors. We should REALLY be able to edit our comments, nothing bad could come out of it.

bump... again...
This is really something that can't go unnoticed.

How many times am I going to have to bump this until the Scratch Team sees it?

One time, I posted something like this.
The answer was no. If somebody posts a troll-ish or cyber-bullying comment, they could just edit or delete it before it gets flagged and/or they get banned. And I agree.
Thank you, good night.

Well, wouldn't that be good? If they edited it out, then the bad stuff won't even be in the comment.
Maybe there could be a 1 hour time limit for editing your comments, and a 24-hour time limit for deleting your own comments.

This suggestion is a very good idea. However, users would be able to edit out words that would be less admirable for the website. This idea is unlikely to be added as a feature.

Super Ultra Mega Bump.
Scratch Team, where are you?
Every time I bump this, I'm going to try to make it look different in a funny sort of way so that it doesn't look like this:
bump.
bump.
bump.
bump.
bump.
