Band R.E.M. Calls It A Day (Link In Topic)
Article's here.
So, anyways, I found this out yesterday, and as I know most of you probably don't know who R.E.M. is, but they were (and still are,) my favorite band, as they never wanted to age gracefully (they were together for 31 years; made 16 albums.), and they gave a different approach to music, not just how it's made, but you could actually relate to most of the songs, and that's what I appreciated about their music; you could connect. Not to mention they helped a genre of music rise into popularity in the late 80's and 90's... and kept it there. 
Anyways, if you don't know who R.E.M. is, just think of this, "How would you feel if your favorite band, artist, stopped making music?" If you do know who they are, maybe your opinions on their songs? XD
So, how would you feel if your favorite band quit?

My dad told me about it. He's a huge R.E.M. fan.
And i was just getting into R.E.M.

Yeah, same, my dad told me about them about a year ago, and I became a fan after their last album (Collapse Into Now, I think ), and then I just found more and more of their songs great. It's too bad, really.

My dad was such a huge fan i think he actually named one of his companies or something Sitting Still.
My dad is awesome. He was the person who got me into classic rock.

I always liked classic rock, because some of the songs actually tell stories (take The Who, for example), and others (take R.E.M. ) had meaning to them. Nowadays it's all about Gaga, Beiber, and whoever else makes rap music. Even then, all the songs sound the same to me.
