I have always thought it would be awesome if I could create my own Wii game, but their isn't a program I know of that would let you create your own games.
Is it possible for the programers at MIT make a Wii programming verison of Scratch.
That would be A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
<distance to[ awesomeness is just a modification away!

Not if you make a homebrew version.

Well, Scratch isn't really the kind of game you'd play on the Wii. The reason for this is because you'd only use the Nunchuck for moving the blocks and sprites into place, plus it would be difficult to paint sprites and backgrounds. You would also not be able to download pictures from the internet, and really the Wii is to play games on, not make them. Your arm would ache after a while, and you wouldn't really be using the Nunchuck for movements, which is the point of the Wii. Although it's a good idea, Scratch is probably better off on the DS. That way, you could use Wi-Fi Connection and Wireless Communication to share your projects, plus you could draw and drag using the pen. The arrow pad and the A, B, Y and X buttons would count as keys to move around, and there could be blocks that let you make touch-screen games. I don't mean to burst your bubble, I'm just voicing my opinion.

You could get the Internet channel and make something that uses the mouse for the pointer. www.wiicade.com has Flash games made specifically for pointer controls.
I don't think that would work, because the Wii runs on Flash Player 5, (Or 6, I can't remember) and Scratch games run on Java. But you could try it, Wii might run on Java, but I don't know.
