Wow. That is so different! Also notice "Sprite2's light value" rather than "Sprite2 light value".

Before, they weren't called variables, they were called "sensors." Or maybe it's reffering to the sensor boards as well? Anyway, that's pretty cool! And there was a brightness value too O_o I wish they still had it, it would be pretty interesting and useful in some cases.

I think the variables are green because they were part of the 1-2-3 (now operator) category of blocks

Never mind, I found this in the wiki at http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Stage_Monitor:
In the early developmental stages of Scratch, the stage monitors were green.

I'm going to download this, make a project, then try to upload it.
Or should Engineer do it? He's better at tech stuff than I am....

Search Google images for this: squeak smalltalk
It should be on page one. If it's not, look on page two of three.
Second result on 1st page as of 4:35 Oct 30 2011 US Eastern(just in case its not in a hour so I don't get blamed for false saying or something)

That would be interesting! I'd like to see some pre-1.0 versions of Scratch, and delve straight into the history of them.
Me too, (WARNING OFF TOPIC AHEAD) and I'd base Scone off of it because 1.4 just does not want me to modify it!

I found them in Scratch 1.0. They were in the open dialog, and I went into the source code to find out the web address. Also, you shift-click the extras menu for the developers menu.

AHA. I've found out what the say nothing block does. if you found out too, i posted first, to note (as i've read). It does exactly what the say[] block does with no imput, it dosent say a thing - but i think they had that block because it sounded appropriate - but - since Scratch is ment for children, why remove it??

Listening to the music in TreasureQuest.scratch I downloaded the scratch 0.1 image somehow too, and also, these blocks ARE quite easy to understand (once you get used to them, ofcourse)

How did you find it? I have a feeling something fishy is going on if you didn't download an old version of scratch.
