I thought it was a virus outbreak going through ads.It is.
It's a rootkit targeting x64 bit operating systems.By x64 it means 32-bit systems. Correct?
x86= 32 bit.
x64= 64 bit.

CANNOT BE REMOVED
any virus can be removed. Sure, there are viruses that can survive many stuff like flashing the BIOS or whatever. But any virus can be removed.
Removed without a clean install? A whole new story...

I have to agree with hmnwilson. All viruses can be removed in some way (other than a clean install). The problem most of the time is that once the virus is gone, the system may be seriously screwed from the damage the virus caused.
Still, I have Chrome with AdBlock and NotScripts (yes, it is NotScripts), so I am safe from this "unremovable" virus.![]()
Just delete the .exe files , or change the memory if you still use MSDOS..
Oh, was Blaster removeable? yes. (deleting MSBLAST.EXE did the trick)
VBS.LoveLetter? Yes - but it was hard (every vbs, jpg, mp3, etc.)
Every virus can be removed in some way. Unless the adverts use malicous cookies (decent AV's remove all cookies) then you *should* be safe..

..ignorance in a nutshell.
Yes there are. Certain viruses stick to bits in your motherboard, and if you don't know how to use fdisk, you're bummed.
Get a new motherboard, or have a spare like me!

x64 is 64-bit. x86 is 32-bit.
