There are key hidden files on bootable floppy drives. If I'm correct, we can copy the files to CDs and try it like that. Can we?

Yes, there are "key hidden files", like the boot record. However, they are very hard to read and copy, because 99% of programs and OSs are just about clueless about the existance of them. Also, the boot record of a CD is different than one of a floppy.
It is worth a try, but I don't think it would work.
