Some people call it cheating. Some people think it is just a different way of playing the game. I am one of the latter, and think that the only real cheating is using Action Replay and hacking. What do YOU do?

I don't think of it as cheating, but it does ruin part of the fun of the game.

I agree. I only use it to get through some parts.

It depends how you look at things. If the video game company who makes it, makes an official guide, it isn't cheating. If they don't, it is.

Nope, never.
I find it totally ruins the fun and excitement of the game, but it really isn't cheating. Its fun to read the after you beat them however.

I do, but only if I'm really stuck or playing Half Life in which I'm almost always stuck eventually so I keep one open in a window behind the game

I use it sometimes, but only when I'm stuck on a very hard part such as the Last Day chapter in SMT: Devil Survivor. Other than that, I just get through it on my own.

I think walkthroughs are helpful. Even though I rarely use them. So it's not cheating for me.

I definitely use them on hard levels

No, but that's mostly because I don't play video games

it's cheating in puzzle games, but in action games etc when you can't find out where you're meant to go or what you're meant to do next (like in GTA games) it's really helpful

Neutral. Very, very neutral.

Neutral. Using them on an easy game is pointless. Using them on a game you can't beat lets you keep playing.

Yeah, but what about really hard games from Japan (ever played Dragon Quest 9?) What about the people who can't read Japanese?
