Watch My Neighbor Totoro or Spirited Away. Both are great animated movies by Hayao Miyazaki.
His other movies are good, too. 

Or you could watch some of Don Bluth's stuff (i.e. The Land Before Time, The Secret of Nimh, All Dogs Go To Heaven).

I'm not sure if you're looking for animated movies, though. 
And just to tell you, some of Miyazaki and Don Bluth's movies are from the '80s... 
...but they're still good.
