I can't load my Panther project. After I click it, it asks me to select an image file. I don't understand what it really wants to load.

You need to open the save after opening panther. I personnaly don't know why it doesn't oepn it like Scratch, but others might.

The reason it doesn't is that there are two image files:
\Panther1.0.image -- the standard image.
\Source\Source1.0.image -- Panther, but with a "Dev" menu so you can mess with the source code.
At the beginning, it doesn't know which to use, so it asks you. Pick whichever one you need.

Quid? When I dowloaded Panther, it downloaded a compressed file, with a shortcut to the program. I clicked the shortcut, and it worked. There were other files.
For those of you familiar with Panther, can you tell me where the image file is located in the folder?

Uh, see my previous post. In the Panther folder, there is a file named Panther1.0.image. That is the standard Panther image. There is also a folder called Source, and it contains a file called Source1.0.image. That is the one to use if you want to mess with the Squeak code.

Yes, but it doesn't seem to be working, because whenever I use either to open, a blank project shows up. If anyone can still help, please do. Otherwise, if a moderator passes by in a week or so and there is no replies, please close the topic.

After you open an image, then you need to go to the "File" menu and click "Open...".

Panther just does that. It's a such a problem I explored the source code extensively to try to find the problem, but I failed. I need the solution for somethimg I'm working on, so if anyone knows a fix, please tell me!

Adding the line "ImageFile=Panther1.0.image" to the Panther.ini file allows Panther to open without asking for an image file when given a project to open, but it just shows the default sprite and doesn't open the project...

Well, I know that. The problem is that it won't open projects at startup!

Is it so hard to use the open project button? The other Devs know about this problem.

No but it's really annoying. I always use desktop icons for my "biggest" projects. But, I can't use them for panther...

Just set the shortcut target to:
%PantherDir%\Panther1.0.exe "%PantherDir%\Panther1.0.image" "PROJECT PATH HERE"
