I downloaded Gimp and have no idea how to use it. I mean like really. I suck at it. So anyone want to bother with helping me out? I check the website as well does not help. I want my art skills to be kinda okay so that my projects look cooler and I don't want to rely on someone who is good at art for the nest of my life when I am programming.

I donno... anything really..
I guess learning how to make a background transparent and crop sprites would be a start, it's not really art but it's usefully and I hear that the signatures that people make with Gimp is really cool so..

Take a class for photoshop. You won't get to far trying to learn it by your self.

I don't know, It would be a waste of money seeing as though my grandparents recently used $6000 dollars on my education and my dad just got me a new laptop worth at least 5000 ringgits. I would prefer to just learn by myself.

Ok, well after you learn the basics this website will help you quite a bit with little tips and tricks you can do in photoshop. As far as drawing goes you'll need a pen and tablet for that. It's really frustrating trying to draw with the mouse, but if you don't want to spend money on a pen and tablet you can just draw on paper and then transfer it to photoshop and use photoshop for coloring.

Photoshop is not working any more I will never buy cds from from a shop that does not sell original cds ever again. Guess the tutorial is only on gimp then.
Do you have the key? If you do, you can download the trial, then use that key. It should make it a full version!

Why not? I had to pirate my copy of Scratch. Judging from what you're saying, I'm guesing you don't pirate. HOW do you buy Scratch for $999.99 without pirating it?! I bought it for one of my computers (until it crashed), granted. Every other time: pirated.
