Out of curiosity, what does it look like to be a moderator? do you get messages that have the flagged comments? Do you have an options button to be able to do stuff to comments and articles? Do you have your own tab in the menu for flagging?
I just had to guess on my Scratch Cyber attack project.

Well, Admins see IP adresses.

Offline
They have an admin panel, with reports, a place to ban, ban IPs, etc.
The Scratch Team has more stuff, like being able to censor words. Believe it or not, they chose the * as a censored word. They could have changed hell to heaven, or I hate you to I love you, stuff like that

Awesome. How'd you find out? Were you a mod?

Erm, I don't think they'd show that.
I've been trying to find the URL, but I think they wouldn't want me posting screenshots.

I found the URL.
However, google blogs says that only certain users can see it. So I tried the wayback machine.
They put a robots.txt file on it.
So, how did the scratch team put a forum and a robots.txt file on a blog?
I'm curious.
DON'T BAN ME!
I don't know what the mods can see, but the Scratch Team can see EVERYTHING. I know because ricarose interviewed me with a screen share, and she went to my profile page. I was like "You.. can.. see... that..."
again, please don't ban me.

what I`m more curios about is...how do they become moderators? =)if they are extra nice and polite and have a talent for stopping fights do they get an email saying "congratulations! you have been chosen as a community moderator!"?

No. While there are times where we will move a thread over from the moderator forum to the regular forum for transparency, there are certain things discussed in the moderator forums that should stay in the moderator forum, lest they turn into gossip. It's kind of like how details of a blocked account are left between the Scratch Team and the account owner.

Save your time and effort for something more positive and creative.
The moderator forum is only accessible by moderator and admin accounts only - the URL won't work under regular accounts.

You probably found a URL for something else. Google only picks up URLs as if it were a person not logged into the website. Since the URL is not public, Google doesn't index or cache admin panel pages.

I didn't use google. I know it has a robots.txt. I used URL trial and error (adding stuff to the scratch.mit.edu URL.)

I can tell you the URL if you want.

I still think you found a link for something else. Admin panel pages show up like normal error pages for regular accounts (aka, it says the page is deleted or doesn't exist).

Oh. Can you tell me what it's for then? Or is that another secret?
I dunno, I'm technically part of the Scratch Team now and even I don't have access to it! That's saying something.
If I had to take a guess, it's probably a vestigial part of the website no longer in use (using a Blogger system in lieu of an actual administration system), back when the website was still in development. Who knows? that blog might even be empty.

You mean the moderator forum? It just looks like any other area of the Scratch forums, just with moderator-related topics.
