How to tell if you are online

Hello everyone!

First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm nightgal339, your regular scratcher.
I want to tell you about something that just flashed in my mind yesterday.

Fellow scratchers, have you ever got trouble knowing if your friends are online, or tellin someone your online or offline? In my second latest project, at http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/nightgal339/404301 , I can show you how to do it.

My idea is this - if you copy your profile picture (on your computer), you can edit it in mspaint. Just right-click on the copy of the picture, scroll over 'edit' and left-click. Then, make your picture a little longer by height. On the top of it, write ONLINE with green letters. The best font for it is Arial black, bold, underlined. Copy the picture again, do the same with it, only instead of ONLINE with green letters, write OFFLINE with red letters. Saddly, this doesn't work with animations.

Thank-you for reading!

Tell me what you think, and if you like it, please do it!

I didn't say that it's special.

Many ideas seem obvious when you first see them.  I can't tell you the number of times I've seen some new gadget and said to myself "how simple" or "I thought of that years ago".  But nightgal339 took the time and effort to write this idea up, make a project about it and post it on the forums.  And that's the difference between just thinking about something and actually following through and making something happen.

Thank you nightgal339 for taking the time and effort to share this idea with us.  Maybe not everybody will want to use it but those who do will enjoy it.
