Actually, after reading around, it looks like it's not *technically* supported, but as others have pointed out that's likely just in case they change something major in the bootloader and all that. There's really no reason it shouldn't work. I'll be installing on a completely separate hard drive just in case though.

Just found out that VirtualBox doesn't work...


Switching to Bootcamp 

Just updated vitualbox now it works. The new virtualbox has a new feature which lets Win 8 work.

The welcome screen was a totally failed idea.
However, I'm about to like a couple improvements when I download it tomorrow.

I'd do it today, but 2.8 GB probably take more than 10 minutes

My VirtualBox is the latest version and Win8 Guru Meditation'd it! D:

On win 8 right click on it and choose settings
System ---> Motherboard --> Enable IO APIC
Tick all boxes in the other tabs.
In display enable 3D features and 2d if you want to.

Ah, that was probably it. Thanks! I'll test it when I get back to the comp with Win8 on it (this weekend).
