What in the world? Scratch program glitch?

I don't understand. I was on Scratch on my computer, making my new project, when this weird thing started to happen. It was loading incredibly slow and glitching a ton. All my sprites disappeared, but soon came back. Also, each block in a script would highlight as it functioned. I could see literally what block was in action because it was lit up a highlighter yellow-green.
Nothing froze up, it just went so slow... I saved, exited and came back. No more highlighted blocks, nor delay. Perfectly normal again.

Weird glitch, normal glitch, temporary technical difficulty, what do you think?

1.) Go to edit.
2.) Click "set single stepping".
3.) Click "normal".

But, Trekkie210, how did it get set to something that was not normal? Well unless if Dewleafwolf changed it, otherwise, how did it get changed?

Maybe there’s some keyboard shortcut that you accidentally pressed...?

It was probably a glitch.

Maybe a ghost.
