If you scroll down to the bottom of the forum homepage, you'll see a link called "show your posts." It will show if someone commented on your posts, or someone commented on a post you posted on.

You press the "report" button on the first post of your topic. Say "Can you close this thread?" or something like that and a mod will come along and close it on your request.
