Happeh Birthday, California!

Today I realized that today is the state of California's 161st birthday! So let's celebrate by discussing the state and...eh...giving facts about it, I guess. XD Also, are there any upcoming birthdays for states? One fact about CA: If California were a country, it would be the eighth-largest economy in the world and the 35th most populous nation.
