Are fonts embedded?

Just wondering how Scratch handles fonts... When you use one that's on your system, does it get embedded into the project, and thus display as intended elsewhere? Or does it get bitmapped? Or does it not get saved along with the project at all, so best not to use uncommon fonts?

Thanks!  smile

Re: Are fonts embedded?

I wonder too. When someone used a font that you don't have ina project you download, it displays fine. When you open the paint editor, it displays fine. When you click the text button, it switches to a default font...

Re: Are fonts embedded?

I think that Scratch turns the font into an image, but it has a special tag-ish thinghy that tells Scratch that it is a font. So it can display it fine... until you edit it.

Re: Are fonts embedded?

Yeah, that's pretty weird... I think I'll stick to making my text objects in another app for now.

Re: Are fonts embedded?

So this ought to be in "suggestions", now, eh?
