Well, as you all might know, I love science fiction and fantasy. And I'm sure a lot of people here do, too. So I've made a thread to discuss sci-fi movies, books, and all sorts of stuff. You can even post any sci-fi stories you've written!
So yeah, here's the mass science fiction and fantasy topic! This is for deep sci-fi lovers, and also who enjoy fantasy like His Dark Materials or Lord of the Rings. Post all about your favorite stuff about the two greatest genres of fiction!

Is this for stories?
If so, I'm writing somthing close to this genre.
I'll post it if this is for stories.
If not, I still might.

So does this include TV, or is it just books?

It's anything to do with sci-fi.
So, yes, it includes TV.

I watched the first season of the original series. It's a pretty awesome show.
Who's you favorite character? I like all the main ones, especially Bones.

Yes, Mister Anderson, I believe it would.
TNG is the best Star Trek.

His Dark Materials was a great book. Because of my natural hunger to solve paradoxes and logical puzzles, I pondered for days over how Will and Lyra could have solved the whole * window/specter/dust thing.
You know, the ending. The sad, sad, ending. The saddest ending I've ever read.

No piece of scifi has more Time Paradoxes than Chrono Cross, the PS1 sequel to Chrono Trigger. It's not possible. Even describing PROLOGUE events cause several TP's to happen. At a certain point you just go along with it...
And SPOILERS!!!!!
(The final boss is the most confusing thing ever. EVER. Not to even mention how many theories it spawns. BTW it's not Lavos.)
Paradox Example:
Kid goes back in time to save Serge from drowning to create an alternate universe where he is alive which sets up the events for the game and has her memories erases so that she can go through the game and at the end Lucca tells her to go back in time to save Serge which sets up the events of the game
that's the LEAST confusing one.

I'm currently obsessing over Portal, and can't seem to stop trying to find a way to make a working portal gun. I have figured out one thing though, It MUST be some sort of wormhole, as analyzing and re-creating a living creature would be both too complex and would have little chance of survival.

Black Apple Chapter 1. 1st half
Once, Luke and his friends Kyle, Kim, and Dave were just walking along a forest. Then they found a science lab. The professor Dr.Tom had really cool inventions. Like, for example;A plane that can fly wherever you want. So, they got on it. Dave said "I wanna go back to the dinosaurs! I love 'em!" But the others said "No, Dave! What if we get gobbled up!" But it was too late. The plane already took off.
Sorry because school was gonna start in 15 minutes. I have to split it up in halves.
FYI:Luke, Kyle, Dave, are boys. Kim is an girl.

Well, obviously! You didn't think it was some kind of teleportation system, did you?

I've read Ender's Game, and I love it. I'm currently reading Speaker for the Dead.
I started reading Foundation, but never finished it. I'll get back to it later.
