oh, i see. you can download stuff! my dad told me u could get sprites sounds and backgrounds from the scratch website, but i didnt see any. now i know! does it require purchase, credit cards, signatures, email, or anything else?

Sprites, sounds and backgrounds are simply just files. For example this apple...
...is a picture which can be used as a sprite if you want it to. Infact, all sprites and backgrounds are pictures. You can just save it to a place where you can find it and then import it to use in your projects.
Google images is generally a good place to find most of the stuff you want. However The scratchers resource can be a cool place.
