...bought out all of the major game companies and had a monopoly over the entire VG market?

There would probably be antitrust lawsuits involved... just look at what happened when AT&T wanted to buy out T-Mobile.  hmm

Doomsday would come due to VALVe never being able to finish Half-Life 3 after being bought by Nitendo.
The only shelter would be at Mojang.

IT WILL COMPLETELY SUCK!
there will be no other video game company and that means all the video game companies will stop making awesome games and all we could see on video game shops will be "pokemon *insert color here*", "super mario *something*" and others.

for me that sounds horrible.

I'd hate it.

As a matter of fact, I'd go into developing things to attempt to break the market.
Like keygens.

Back in my day.... there were no laws that censored the internet... now, there are.... nah.
