Misinformed Creepypasta post

I found a creepypasta story called "Nightmares"

"Nightmares

A recent study by the National Psychiatric Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, concluded that no activity can account for the phenomenon known as nightmares.

Whereas many dreams come from unconscious desires, most nightmares seem to come from an outside source independent of the individual. In fact, when subjects are asked to recall nightmares they are almost always found in the same memory section as actual physical memories, not the section where normal dreams are replayed.

So, in other words, those aliens and creatures you see at night in your "dreams"?

They're real."

I found right in the first paragraph that they're using misinformation for their conclusion Dx Many studies on dreams have found that they're the result of information being sorted out through the brain in random order, and being interpreted by the brain as a dream, which includes nightmares. <_<

I once covered myself with my blanket at the thought of a creepypasta I wrote.

I take all creepypasta pretty seriously. I also believe in magic.

Overactive imagination.

[It doesn't help that the monster in my creepypasta came from a hollow wall, and I sleep next to a hollow wall.]

Also, this article says that the frequency of nightmares varies from children to teenagers to adult.

If the creepypasta were true, the frequency would remain the same throughout, unless aliens love to bury themselves in the subconscious of teenagers more.
