Some loops would be nice but perhaps they should be transcribed in lists, it won't be as simple as recording them I think.  hmm

I should start figuring out how to work the guitar and bass... Perhaps make them like the "Smart" instruments in the iPad GarageBand?

I never used the iPad Garageband. I used the Mac one. We need to find a way to make a stretch-like script, for strumming, and for the sound, I could record guitar notes and piano notes in my dad's studio. The hardest part will probably be the Create thing...

NOO D:, I just wrote a giant post and pressed submit, and it showed me an error. Meh, I'll just write the last thing:

We could use the following: mouse down and touching mousepointer, and have seperate sprites. That way people could strum. I'll try to make one. Too bad there isn't a stretch block anymore-Is there a possible sort of subsitute for it with a script?

Re: GarageBand Scratched

Meh, I did it: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Death_Test/1995103
It looks horrible, and sounds horrible, I know. It's a test. Strumming seems to work unless it's too fast-The strings will probably have to be wider for it to work like that.

And offline the guitar sounds better, I'll change the type of instrument later. The last note (The one at the bottom) is a different instrument, a jazz guitar-I like it more.  tongue

Re: GarageBand Scratched

Actually, the guitar doesn't sound that bad on the Flash Player. It sounds much less like a guitar, though. I still think we should choose another type of guitar.

I just tested something out, though. It strums perfectly on Turbo Mode. Shift click the project to see  tongue  (Or download it, and put it in turbo mode).
Now I'll wait, programming in Stencyl.

Re: GarageBand Scratched

I liked the idea  big_smile  now to figure out how to implement that with chords.  hmm  Perhaps store each chord as a set of fret numbers in a list, and each number is assigned to a string.

Been a bit lazy lately :c I say yes  tongue

We need to work on the guitar and bass before the Create mode. Not sure how it'd work, I was thinking laying out a chord progression diagram (see here, the first few steps explain it), and pressing each chord button plays a bassline or riff that goes well with that chord.

But still, awesome GUI you got there! One thing though, I'd rather not use the Garageband name or logo due to copyright stuff. We'll have to come up with a name.  hmm

chill. I dont think Tim Cook would be at a educational company for using the words Garage and Band. And the logo is a guitar.

Ok then, I will need to heavily mofify the Main menu to change this.
