Question (probably for the Scratch Team)

I downloaded a .scratch project that doesn't run in Scratch 1.4, or even in Scratch 1.0. Does someone (preferably on the Scratch Team) have a download link for 0.1 - 0.2? Are these versions publicly available? If not, is there a reason for that, or are they just not around anymore?

This signature is TDD's fault... yes, I had to.

Re: Question (probably for the Scratch Team)

I downloaded Treasure Quest off of the Wayback Machine and was able to play it in Scratch 1.4! Are you trying to play Treasure Quest or a different game?

If you need Scratch 1.0, you can get it from here. It is my project, and Scratch 1.0 works perfectly, verified by me, no problems!

Re: Question (probably for the Scratch Team)

I have Scratch 1.0, but this project was made in an even older version.

Re: Question (probably for the Scratch Team)

How do you know the file has been made in an even older version?
I can hardly imagine that's possible, because those versions were never public and probably not even functional (just mockups).

Also, I think Scratch 1.4 is as backwards-compatible as it can be. So even ancient projects should work.

Are you sure the project file didn't just get corrupted? it happens every now and then...

Re: Question (probably for the Scratch Team)

Can you please please please please please send me a link to that file?
I can look at their contents and determine the project creator's operating system and Scratch version.

Re: Question (probably for the Scratch Team)

That's odd. I downloaded that exact same project and had no problems with it whatsoever in Scratch 1.4. I'll look into it, and apparently back then they didn't embed the OS or Scratch version.

Re: Question (probably for the Scratch Team)

The file works for me in Scratch 1.4 too... There are some obsolete blocks, but that's it!
