For those of us who cannot attend...grrrrr...would it be possible to have some sort of user chat that we can use to ask questions from our home? I'm not sure how much this would cost, or if MIT can do this on their own, but WebEx looks like a good solution. Please?

Yeah, that would rock, but it would be really hard to stream over the internet. Maybe we could rent a public access channel?

But then only people from a limited area could view it (ex - pub. access channel 8 is only available in my small town). Streaming video would be the best solution.

XAT Chat might be possible, but there's no video chat. On macs, try iChat AV.

there is another alternative http://www.elluminate.com/ i find it to be a good one
