Tempo

Hello Everyone! This is my first forum comment and also one of my first BIG projects....other than Cursed! It has no name at the moment but is called Project Tempo. In the game, you control a spaceship using mouse x and collect coins falling down to earn points. Sounds really basic, right? But here is the twist that makes it so different to other games. As soon as you collide with a coin a note will play. Collect all the notes together and it makes a tune. To complete the level, the tune must be played without any notes (coins) being missed. I'm currently planning to use the coins as a currency to spend on user-made compositions using a level editor. Anybody like the idea? How could I improve it?

Re: Tempo

If i'm being honest, its all about the right genre. I've never really heard of a sci-fi super-fast action mixed with collecting coins, and playing tunes, but who knows it might work. I would suggest a save mode or something, so that the player could save the levels rather then having to collect coins each time they load it or having to restart the designer when they get to it.

Generation:4001 Build a beautiful city, with over 50 objects and over 10000 tiles per city! This simulates traffic, pollution, tourism, crime and more!

Maybe I should change the coins.....I'll think of a collectible....and your save feature is a good idea.....in my project stickman (if you have seen it) you click on the stickman and he gives a password based on the state of all the sprites....I think I could do tht...also a Editors Pick thing would be good for the best tunes....Except i need a place to share your creations.....
