Whats good about the Wii U
You might have gone bored with your 3DS because theres no youtube. If so heres the good news if your also going to buy a Wii U:
The Wii U supports flash player 7. This means you will be able to access: youtube XL (or youtube), Penguin chat 3, and a lot more!
.P.S. If you like this still don't give up on the 3DS!

I don't want the Wii U. I already have enough portable touchscreen game consoles.

The current Wii has support for the flash player 7,I believe because it's built in to the Opera web browser.
