How would a non-flying superhero...

How would a non-flying superhero save a plane that's falling from the sky?

Run to where it's landing then catch it.

Re: How would a non-flying superhero...

The plane's falling. He follows the plane on foot, and when the plain falls, he grabs it, and puts it on the ground slowly, harming nobody. Of course, when it would hit the hero, the hero would die and the people would die of the impact of hitting him, but... Who cares? It's superheros, none are realistic  tongue  (The flash, running would have his skin fall off, super strength would kill anybody in a tennis ball game and basically doesn't serve much in the real world other than showing off, flight could be flying normally but slowly, and not too high or you'd die, not too low or people would throw stuff at you, and it could be jumping, in which when you fall you'd have your skeleton jump out of your body)

With a straight flush.

Maybe with a very strong telekinesis power.

That's depressing.  sad

lol. Yeah, nothing too unrealistic. The impact of him catching it from the ground would kill everyone inside. Which is bad.  tongue

Alright, I suppose I should tell you the superhero's powers, right?  tongue

He has super strength, reasonable invulnerability, and can absorb and expel electricity.

Example: Spiderman

Make a soft web on the plane to slow it down, then catch it as it hits the ground.

Then it's kind of impossible to find a realistic way for it to work.  tongue

Why is the plane falling? Because he could use the electricity to jump start the engine.

That's an idea! And a good one, at that! Any other, more epic ideas though?

Re: How would a non-flying superhero...

Given sufficient strength he could jump high enough to land on plane at which point he could he could "throw" it upwards before it hits the ground to slow it almost a dead stop so it lands gently on the ground. Of course he would be pushed back at tremendous velocities so hopefully he has super bones to go along with super strenght.

The question was How would a non-flying superhero save a plane that's falling from the sky?

But it says plane not people!

EXPLODE THE PLANE
erm, he could use telekinesis to slow the plane down and his super strength to catch it and put it down on the ground.

Re: How would a non-flying superhero...

Call the Superhero Sensei Nevar Surrendar Headkuarterz, and ask Superman for help.

Or he could use his electricity to form an improvised magnetic field, which he then uses to gently put the plane down. That's assuming he can control an unlimited amount of electricity, though, since the magnetic field has to be really strong.

Another method is to wait until the plane is close enough, then use his reasonable invulnerability and super strength to absorb the impact of the plane, and basically take out the momentum, which is the main cause of death. He then uses his strength to assist the plane to land as gently as possible.

Or he could expel electricity at such a speed that the plane is rocked backward, countering the gravitational and momentum force of the plane. He then uses his strength to absorb the remaining impact. If the plane is falling too fast, though, or is made entirely of metal, the electricity might kill the passengers, or slam them into their seats so hard their necks snap.
