How can i link some atribute values to a costume?

What the title says.
How can i make it so that when a specific costume appear, specific variables change to specific value?

somewhat-stupid-and-useless-EDIT: i repeated specific 3 times  tongue

Go to sensing and look for the <[x postion] of [Sprite1]> box.

Change [x position] to costume# and [Sprite1] to your desired sprite.  Either you can have a variable be set to that value, or if that value = something (a number), set the variable to something (typically people use a 1 or 0 to indicate whether or not something somewhere else should be done).
