My school is supportive of free speech in theory. I once said in Social Studies that the USA went into Libya because of the oil and what's gonna happen is that it will turn into an Islamic Republic. I think I got the record for fastest trip to the office.

That's harsh, it was just an opinion/theory, albeit a controversial one D;

You should have seen what happened when I suggested that the USA helped Al Qaeda in Libya. The rebels might have some people from Al Qaeda. Don't get me started on Israel/Palestine.

Did you get yelled at?
I get yelled at sometimes, but mostly from classmates. It's 'cos I have a weird imagination and my idea of good music differs from theirs - the reaction I got in art when we did a music-based collage... apparently everyone in my class thinks Jedward, Red Hot Chili Peppers, John Lennon, The Beatles, Green Day, and My Chemical Romance are silly and classless bands. There they are, absorbed in their Nicki Minaj and Cher Lloyd... hypocrites.
Those bands will be around for longer than any of their modern pop ^-^
So yeah, I don't really like school, all it's good for is having a respectable social life

I don't mind school, as the summer holdiays seem too long - and I get bored. My birthday's the day before school starts so it will be a nice end to the holiday. I am also starting secondary school and I can't wait.
So overall - it's neither good or bad.

Dont like it that much. Only thing I like is seeing my friends and stuff but dont get me started on classes... Some of the classes I like.... Irish, Geog, English and Science but Maths and History are just terrible!! For me anyway.... My history teacher just sits at the top of the room and reads and gives questions??!??! He never teaches at all.. And my maths teacher is alright but he goes waaaay too fast and I'm bad enough at maths so Im finding it hard to keep up and understand it.. Im considering droping down to ordinary level but my mam was like just stay in higher level until the Junior cert and decide for the Leaving... I have the Junior this year and Im just gonna have to try real hard in maths...!!!! X(

I hate school. You get bullied a lot at my school. Even if you're slightly different, people bully you. The students at my school are very harsh.

I feel sorry for you. I am clever, and red-haired, yet I've never been bullied.

Wow those are both harsh responses to opinions...
But when you think about it, America isn't really the land of the free anymore:/

But not as free as Australia, in my SOSE lesson (Social Studies) we can pretty much say our opinion on world events, but I usually keep myself to myself of course
America used to be free I know...
