I'm pretty sure it is a hardware error.
OK then it should tell you what is wrong then
The RAM, I guess...
Ok then put in new RAM and hope that it doesn't make hissing/popping noises then start smoking and then die completly like one of my mates computer did
EDIT It also spat out loads of dust when we opened it up
WARNING BEFORE YOU DO THIS IT MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA TO BACK YOUR COMPUTER UP AND KEEP A HOOVER ON STANDBY

I had the blue screen too.
I installed AVG PC Cleanup Trial and got rid of it!You got rid of the AVG PC Tuneup trial or got rid of the bluescreen?
@16Skittles: I don't think it is overheating because it also happened with nothing (except Firefox) opened...
Use AVG PC Tuneup Trial to get rid of the registry errors.
I have a spare key to completely get rid of anything that could be harming your PC, but I can't pass it over scratch...
See, with me, I had LOADS of registry errors, after I ran that, I had no blue screen!

It is a good idea to use lots of programs for registry checks as they don't look in the full registry only different parts of it
And also did you do a rootkit scan

Another idea: Take your £600 computer and flush it down the toilet

Try cleaning all the fans and heat exhausts. My laptop was constantly overheating and crashing, until we took the computer apart and cleaned the heat exhaust.
Also, the CPU could be damaged from overheating in the past.

Aha! After searching your post long and hard, I have found your problem, and the solution! Have you ever had this pop up?
WARNING: Virus Detected
Now, the popup has appeared. There will be two options, "Details" and "Ignore". If you click ignore, you will keep having problems. Now, click on "Details".
Virus name: "WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL".
From here, you will get three options: "Install Linux.exe" or "Install Mac.lol" or "Cancel". Now, what you'll want to do, is either select Linux.exe or Mac.lol to uninstall "WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL". If you follow my instructions step by step, you are sure to get rid of the problems.
