Right now I'm speaking for all the collab campers who lost their power, their home, or even their loved ones to hurricane Irene. I think we should extend the deadline a week or two so everyone can have time to cope with the tragedy and then finish up their work. I was lucky enough to still have power and finish my collab, but some people weren't that lucky. I bet some of those people won't even get to read this message for weeks to come. Does anyone support extending the deadline?

September 1st
Edit: Or do you mean even after September 1st?

I think he/she wants it after September first (He/she said a week or two)
Well, the loved one's part isn't valid because of two reasons:
1.) 10 people died, it's highly doubtful that people's loved ones would be on Scratch.
2.) If my dad died, I wouldn't be programming. And even if I did, I'd just be making depressive games.
And about the power outage thing, I don't think 2 weeks is necessary- I mean, the hurricane doesn't stay in one place for two weeks, most people will be a couple of days without electricity, not a couple of weeks. And it would give advantage to people that lived outside the US. And if they lost their home, I doubt they'd have a computer to program on.

I thought the death toll was more than ten. Oh.

We are also allowing any collabs with members who were significantly impacted by the hurricane to let us know and we can extend the deadline for that collab. See here!

Great! That makes me less worried that anyone I know on scratch will miss the date.
