Comment glitch and I feel like I am being stalked

http://i.imgur.com/gGGsU.png it says  "grapes" is a bad word

also i noticed at the bottom of every page (excluding the forums) it has my IP!

If there's a bad word inside of a word it will be censored, and I don't think that's your IP address at the bottom.  hmm

Edit: Nevermind, I think that is your IP Address at the bottom

it shows everybody's ip address, For the screenshot, I crossed it out at the bottom

I just looked at the source, it is for sure your IP Address, why do they even put that in there?

The mainsite filter is very faulty. It's been on the fix list since, like 2008, so don't expect a fix in the near future.

And yes, that is your IP at the bottom. Why is it there? I don't know, it just is.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Yeah, it's very picky. It has a lot of 'alternative spelling versions' of a lot of common bad words included. So you can't even always find a bad word you used in a comment that could have triggered the filter.

I wouldn't worry about your IP being there.. Many websites do it, and every time you visit a website, they can see your IP

hyphenate it. instead of writing grapes, write gra-pes. then just put a little link to the forum at the end of your comment with a little tag like "sorry about hyphenating gra-pes explanation: (link to forum)"  big_smile  it'll most likely work...

Every website needs to know your IP address to connect to your computer. So, some websites display your IP (such as whatismyipaddress.com).

Yeah, it's the word "grapes" that's triggering the filter, because it contains a bad word in it.

Lightnin said that the IP is for schools who got IP banned and explained the situation, but don't know what IP to ask to be unbanned.
