As you should know, scratch reached 2,000,000 projects!! To celebrate, I say scratch 2.0 should come out. Maybe just as a beta version!! What do you say?? Like the idea? Comment below! Get your friends to do the same!!

Scratch 2.0 probably won't come out until mid-2012. You can't rush something so complicated--the Scratch program is amazingly complex, and they have to translate the whole thing from Squeak to Flash. A true beta won't come out for a while.
The already have a piece of the beta, though--the Flash player is part of Scratch 2.0!

I think Scratch 2.0 should come out...when the Scratch Team's ready to release it. I wouldn't want to work with buggy software early anyway--it's best to just let them take their time and work everything out.
Suppose they did release an early beta, and you started making some really complex game that uses sprite cloning, and midway through programming it, you realize that there's a game-breaking glitch in one of the blocks when used with clones. Now the game doesn't work at all, and will probably never work, because of this one glitch. That would be a HUGE waste of time and effort, all because of one unfixed glitch in beta.
Scratch Team, take your time.
