Is it just me, or did Notch forget to cover animals never despawn in PAX? I mean, Jeb said animals in 1.8 will spawn with each chunk and never despawn. Jeb also said there would be baby animals. I thought that was the highlight of 1.8, and that was what I was hoping to see in the PAX video.
It's called THE ADVENTURE update XD
I know, but what does watermelon have to do with adventuring?

More and better dungeons are what they are focusing on though. They are still doing other update-ish things.

Did you know the blacksmith uses lava to make tools, but sometimes he might destroy a block by accident and the lava will create a fire and burn down the village? XD
I'm serious. Read the wiki and Jeb's tweets.

I hope everyone's servers are ok because I was hacked.
Please forgive the actions that were done

I really don't like the idea of having to care for animals, rather than them just spawning everywhere in lit areas. The idea of the update is to explore and adventure, but now we have to care for animals and pay special attention to them?

What Notch should do is make "Classic Survival" and "Modern Survival" modes so those of us not wanting the changes will still get their daily dosage.
Do it man or your name's Nitch.

You know what I think? I think Notch should let us tweak small things in the game, like options kind of. Such as:
Hunger on or off?
Animal Breeding on or off?
NPC villages on or off?
And so on. I am just really against animal breeding, but like everything else D:

Where have I heard this before? Not saying I don't believe you but... Why has nobody else complained about this?

I'm against hunger, and all for non-despawning animals

High five!
Anyway, on a different note, I want to submit a video of my MC test chamber onto youtube, but Movie Maker makes it look all laggy! Is that just Movie Maker, or will it look like that on youtube too?

Me too, but hunger isn't THAT bad. I mean, there will be many more food choices. As long as you see an animal other than sheep, you've got a meal. I think chicken will fill up the most hunger, being so filling!

Hopefully nobody chooses to be a vegetarian.

Hunger just adds stress to the game. It would make it like first person The Sims.

Well, it could be switched on and off.
Hopefully.

Maybe Peaceful has no hunger?

flint creates fire,
Really?
Yes, if you slide iron across it. That what "Flint and Steel" is. I'm sure the sides of match boxes have the same chemicals that steel has on them, and the tips of the matches have same chemicals that flint has on them (or the other way around). It's the same principle.
Uh... A matchs tip has a chemical that ignites of contact with air, the rough side of a match box is just that, rough, and the covering over the top of a match is just there to stop the chemical igniting, thats why you can light a match by scraping it against anything rough like a rock of even a nail file.

Well that is strike anywhere matches. Some matches are different.

Kimmy, apply for the whitelist for creepercraft for two reasons.
A. You could be in a movie
B. Sign up right now and you get to beta-test the adventure map, The Adventures of Levonshire!

I didn't know that much, but that's pretty much the same logic as flint and steel.

I already did. When I went on vacation they de-whitelisted me.
