New REAL OS

Yeah, I'm developing a new OS, completely bootable, and written in assembly, assembled using NASM, and I tested it... seemed to load up instantly. Now, I'm working on user input  smile .

Re: New REAL OS

Does it work on all computers? (Seeing that it's in Assembly Language) and will you release the source code? Obviously I won't install it if you don't (for security reasons).

Does it have a GUI or is it command-prompt?  smile

GUI? Are you kidding? It's almost impossible to do a GUI using assembly, and eventually I plan to expand into C to do a GUI. And, yes, it will work on even computers designed for MS-DOS, seeing as the bootloader is 16 bits. And, yes, it's almost opensource and runs from a virtual floppy right now, trying to make it work as a ISO...

An OS without using scratch, as a base?

Do want.
