Has anyone played Tyrian? If not, you should look it up. It is free, and it is AWESOME! My favorite version is Tyrian 2000, which has all five episodes. 2000 doesn't work on Windows NT sometimes, so I'd suggest OpenTyrian, which has only the first 4 episodes, but it works.
Discuss Space Shooter games.
Tyrian might be the best game of it's style!

If you are running 2000, it may have glitches, as it was meant for DOS. I don't know why it's doing that. I'd suggest trying OpenTyrian, a port for newer versions of windows, if it doesn't work. It only has the first 4 episodes, though.

It's running under DOSBox, so it ought to be fine.

Oh, is it working now? If not, try running it without DOSBox.

No, it isn't working because I was running it under DOSBox in the first place.
And I'm using a Mac currently so that isn't an option. Even if I was using Windows right now, it wouldn't work, because Windows emulation of MS-DOS disallows fullscreen mode.

Looks interesting. Kind of like Xevious?
Yes, but you have armor and shield. You can also upgrade/change weapons. There are also multiple episodes and planets.
