Re: Hard Rock

I like AC/DC, Black Sabbath (Ozzy Osbourne was born near my town) and Guns n Roses - Axel Rose screwed up the band though, such a waste of talent :L

Rap > Rock by a long shot imo.

Maybe its that I don't like the screaming that usually goes on.

Don't take this personally, but I strongly disagree. Rap is, as AnimeCreatorArtist said, a bunch of guys that think they're cool and have have no respect for women talking. That's all rap is. TALKING. What about some real music? And have you seen the lyrics? For me, they're really offensive. Us females aren't that vulnerable, I mean come on. FOR THE RAPPERS: How would you feel if I wrote a song about beating you up and paying you money or whatever? I wanna punch whoever wrote those stinking "songs".

But that's just my opinion. If you like that kind of stuff, don't let me get in your way.

About the screaming: Hard rock doesn't have much of it. And if it does, it's not as bad as guys talking about women like they have no feelings, right?

Re: Hard Rock

Do I have to point out yet again that not all rap degrades women, and not all hard rock/metal has excessive screaming (or even screaming at all)?

Listen to more musicians in a genre before claiming something like that.

Sure not all of it does. But the more popular rap that most people have heard of and therefore listen to, makes me feel like I'm being taken advantage of...or, the women in the songs are, anyway.  hmm

If that's the case then just say certain rappers instead of rap as a whole.

And not all of it's meant to be taken literally.

Beastie Boys are awesome.

Paul's Botique is one of my favorite albums ever.
