A contest.

I had a cool idea for a contest. The idea is, build a project without using green flag scripts. What da ya think?

Re: A contest.

But then the program won't start. You need the when green flag pressed block.

No, you just need to use another block, like when key () pressed (Hat block (Like the green flag block)), and you can make it so that when you upload it, its on a background that says press key () to begin! then you can make it so when that key is pressed it switches to a normal background. Or when sprite clicked, etc.

Re: A contest.

I don't really like the idea of this. The only way to start a project would be to use the when (key) pressed block which is one of the most useless blocks. This contest requires you to use the bad when (key) pressed block and other than that you could put any project in. This would just encourage the use of a horrible block.

No, you could use when sprite clicked and more.

Re: A contest.

But still, when flag clicked is the best way of making a project. Anything else may encourage bad coding practices.
