Is it possible to switch RAM between to computers?

Yes.
I meant if the computers are different, would it work? Or would it mess it up? Cause don't they have to be the same type of computer to work?

I have a old PowerBook G4 and a iMac, I want to take the ram from the powerbook and switch it to the iMac
