i need help with scrolling from top view and from side view

ok i kinda now how to do scolling but not enough to be able to do it right
i need help and someone to explaine me the ways for scrolling and how to make big scrooling maps and long ones for games that are 2d side viewed games  big_smile

What do you mean by side viewed in 2d
Do you mean like side scrolling or glide scrolling?
I can do side scrolling and i can do the type of sliding while moving to a different spot while scrolling.

To scroll you make the background into a sprite, so that when the arrow keys are pressed the BACKGROUND moves instead of your character. Then you scroll up, down, left and right!

hmm, id suggest you look at my scrolling tutorial to learn more in depth exactly how scrolling helps. Then you can look at the scripts for either my RPG game or Tanks.

ok its a lil helpful but i need to no how to put the sprites of the background  in spots so they stay  and how do i make it so the sprites stay were i put them and do not move also when i move my sprite to control. and i dont understand how to use most of the scratch system because it confuses me and i do not understand what most of the functions of the blocks I cant figure out most of the functions and things of blocks put together to even be able to do that what i want to i just cant.
PLEASE HELP ME I NEED A LOT OF HELP TO UNDERSTAND EVERY THING ABOUT WHAT EVERY BLOCK DOES MOST BLOCKS I DONT UNDERSTAND AND I NEED HELP WITH ALLMOST everything IN SCRATCH.please help??????=o  big_smile
