hi everyone heres my question for scratch how do i make maps or backgrounds were if i have my charachter on the edge that my backgroun will change and if it goes back to the edge were it came from to ga back to that other backgrouund. or if i go to the edges that the background changes and go back to the side were i ended up after going on the edge that i can go back to the prievious background. so that i dont have to make my sprite super small in order to have a big map so i can go to edge to continue to the next part of the map and also be able to go back.

Took a while to understand that, but:
The simplest way would be to have two small bars on both ends that are different colours. Then put this into your character sprite:
<when green flag clicked>
<forever>
<if><touching color[ (right side)
<change{ background }by( 1
<go to x
* )y
* (make it go to the left side of the screen)
<end>
<if><touching color[ (left side)
<change{ background }by( -1
<go to x
* )y
* (make it go to the right side of the screen)
<end>
<end>
[/blocks]In the background, make this:
[blocks]<when green flag clicked>
<forever>
<switch to costume[ <{ background }> [/blocks]
<end>[/blocks]
Note in the background script, "switch to costume" should be "switch to background".

Hard to explain, but you use them with the sensor boards (Scratch Boards or Pico Boards). There's more options in that block besides slider, and the block under it is also for the sensor boards. Try looking in the Sensor Boards forum, I can't explain it very well.
