Scratch Helps(No official name yet)

This is a group that will make projects that will help teach people everything they need to know about scratch... More coming soon.

Members:
JJROCKER
SeptimusHeap
kayybee
bananaman114
Zazorah
ToxicQuillz
Death_Wish
jji7skyline
Guinea_Pig_Girl
pokemongardevoir

10 in all. Just ask if you want to join. I think the max will be 15 at a time unless a scratcher drops out of the group or is no longer online/helping. If anyone would like to drop out, just say so.

Jobs-

Job 1: We are making a project on how to find the out the number of scratch projects on scratch.

What we need-
A host/s of the episode(it could be the scratch cat but I know we can do better).
Screenshots of how to get there.
A mouse sprite.
Permission from the project owners of the projects we use for examples.

Post what part you would like to do.

People working on this job-
JJROCKER

Job 2: Come up with a name for the group.

Examples-
These are bad but Scratch Helpers inc. and The scratchers inc.

Anyone can help with this job, not only people in the group.

Thanks everyone!  smile

No, this is a group that will be giving tutorials on how to do stuff in scratch.

True Scratchers inc. sounds cool. Maybe we should have a poll with the best ones. Let me go get SeptimusHeap.

Here's a mac mouse:

Ugh... When I upload a costume from scratch, the transparency is gone.

I would open gimp but that takes too long and too much memory since I'm composing a song at the same time.

Here's an unusual name--see if you can guess it's origin.

Sekabajdetozajgu Inc.

Here's a regular name:
Scratchers Helps Scratchers (SHS)
or
Scratchers Helps Other Scratchers (SHOS)

Also, I can get the screenshots. So what do you want to do for the tutorial?
Find the latest project and then look at the number?
or Look at the bottom of the front page?

That's fine, post a project with it  smile  Thanks. How about Job 2?

BTW, why did you list everyones names?

I actually really like SHS

Let's start with the more exact way to do it which is the url number. But remember to ask the scratchers for permission and if you want, I can give you what to say to them. Take the screenshot from the top of the page to the bottom of the featured(I'll ask them for permission).

Okay, a project with the mouse. I think it'd be easier just to add the mouse to the project.

Bottom of featured?

I think what we should do is:

Steps:
1. Choose one of the "Newest Projects".
2. Look at the number at the end.

For the example we can just use my most recent project as it is just an example.

Do you think it should be a short animation or a guide like you press the arrows to go to another page?

Re: Scratch Helps(No official name yet)

Hm, should the project be more like a slideshow or an episode?
(A slideshow being you press right and left, and it changes costumes with some programming, or an episode where it has a host talk, etc.)
It could also be a newspaper/magazine sort of thing.

And about the name, I can't really think of a good one.
And when you say mouse, which do you mean? xD

And to kaybee, about the weird name, it's a mix between all of the current people
(Septimusheapkaybeebananaman114jjrockerdeathwishtoxicquillzzazzorajj17skylineguineapiggirl Inc.).

I think SHS is good, though.
