I think it's only on macs. It's something which is an easy way of looking at basic things like weather, time in dif. time zones etc. It also has stuff like games. It puts all the apps together so you can see them as well.

I am too smart to have one even though I don't have a mac. Why should I use dashboard, because it is so useless imo.

I can translate Pig Latin by myself.
I can't when an earthquake, but I can feel them.
I can shove a tickle-me-Elmo inside a giant Chia pet to make it talk when you poke it.
You don't need a dashboard for that.
