I have never made an FPS (first-person shooter) before so I need someone with a really good engine. I had a really good idea for a game (don't steal it though, I made it up) where you're the last guy on earth and you wake up to discover the world has beem taken over by aliens. The aliens are big blobs of fire so your character decides that the only logical way to kill fire thingys is to use water. So instead of flamethrowers or Ak-47s you're used to in Call of Duty you're using super awesome super soakers to dispatch aliens in a maze like enviroment. You need to get to the portal/door/gateway etc. to advance to the next maze.
What do you think? Am I talking about possibly one of the awesomest ideas ever or am I just talking rubbish?
You tell me!

My game would probably suit better for a more powerful game maker (like, err... Game Maker) or an actual console game

you should try 3drad it may be a bit complex to get all the projectile firing right but all in all its free easy to use and you get all the rights to sell your game, but it's only for windows.

Using dots that change their position on the screen depending on your X, Y, Z, and direction values, and then a pen goes from one to the other and draws in the textures? Possible, but I don't think Scratch can handle it. X0
