Man, I remember the first 100k projects. Now, another 100k projects is like nothing.
I think the next great milestone is 1 million project and that shouldn't be too hard with the increasing rate of projects submitted.

Wow, that wasn't that long ago, was it?
I remember when your project would stay on the newest projects portion for more than an hour....

March 22, 2008 was the day of 100,000 projects.
So in about one year, 100k was accomplished.
Now, less than one year from 100k, 300k has been reached.
Increasing at this rate, we could see almost 600k projects on the site.

I remember when I looked at the project number, and there was less that 75,000 of them, I think. And a MILLION projects is a great milestone, like archmage said. Yet, a million projects would flood the scratch servers (You need space to hold it in). I'm pretty sure that by around 700,000 , the space will start running out. I think it took two years to get to 100,000 projects, and now it takes about three months to get to another 100,000 projects. That's quite a bit faster.

When I signed up... I can't remember how many projects there were because I never noticed the counter on the frontpage until around December 2007. 
I remember how slowly projects were uploaded, though. It took a lot longer for my first projects (about 5-10+ minutes) to get off the newest projects section than it does now. (about 1 minute)
I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.
