I am going to start secondary school and I can't wait! For those who don't know what that is:
Year 7
First Year Secondary
Seventh Grade
Grade 7
Second Year at Middle School
Two Years before High School
First year of Key Stage Three education

I took game design at my school last year cool Our final project was making an educational game for 4th graders. My partner and I made a game where you had to build a rollercoaster by selecting the correct part of speech that an underlined word in a sentance was. I was also one of 3 girls in the class tongue

In Scotland it's different. And I think, nice and simple.

It goes:

Primary 1.

EDIT: Since everyone's posting how their schools work, here's how we do it in Wisconsin:

First is elementary school, which is:
-pre-kindergarten
-kindergarten
-first grade
-second grade
-third grade
-fourth grade
-fifth grade

followed by middle school:
-sixth grade
-seventh grade
-eighth grade

and high school:
-ninth grade (freshman year)
-tenth grade (sophomore year)
-eleventh grade (junior year)
-twelfth grade (senior year)

and then of course, college, which works as it does pretty much everywhere else. big_smile

I was just writing different names for Year 7 (Secondary 1 for you).
In England:
Pre-school
Nursery
Reception.
Years 1 and 2 in Infant School
Years 3-6 in junior school
Years 7-11
2 years in Sixth Form
College
University

The law says everyone has to continue education until they're 16.

Oh, and for my school it's:

Pre-K-4th grade- Elementary
5th grade and 6th grade- Lower Middle School

And after 8th grade, you've graduated from the school.

Lower middle school?! I've honestly never heard of that before.
Back on topic. Junior year is mixed so far. It's the third day and I'm bogged down with a packet of questions on Plato's "Allegory of the Cave" for my Man in the Novel class, but next week we get to watch The Matrix. Plus, Engineering Technology is AWESOME!
