Re: Do you LOVE Microsoft?

I like and hate Google, as they track you and all their products are not needed. However, the search is extremely good.

Microsoft made Windows 7, so I like that. But Microsoft gave me my 360, which overheated and broke, so refurbished it and sold it for a PS3 (I DON'T HATE XBOX, PS3 HAS IT'S DOWNSIDES TOO...)

Apple... no. I'm sorry... but they brag all the time and their stuff is overpriced. I don't hate their stuff, but jeez, £500 for a mobile phone? No way.

So, I'm going Neutral.

Apple fails with computers. Honestly, jj, you're probably going to argue that macs are good, but if you look at the facts, they're awful. The cheapest mac laptop is almost $1000, which has only the power of a $500 windows laptop.

I'm not sure if you realise this but the HD in the MacBook Air is actually a SSD which is like a flash drive and is way more expensive, fast and reliable than the conventional HDD

For example, the MacBook Air has a 1.86 Ghz processor, while the Sony VIAO has a 2.40 Ghz processor, at the same price. MacBook Air hard drive? 64-128 GB. VIAO hard drive? 500GB. MacBook, 2GB memory, VIAO, 4GB.

I agree the Air is a little under-featured but you have to understand that it was built for portability and also that OSX uses much less power to do the same stuff  wink

The HP Pavilion is also a good comparison. It has a 2.0-2.9 Ghz processor, 1 more inch of screen, 750 GB hard drive, and 4GB memory.

Agreed.

As for google, their first commercial attempt was google chrome OS. It failed. I think they will stick to software, not firmware (OS's) or hardware.

What I meant is that the OSX system can utilise RAM and CPU and GPU better than Windows can... The OSX system has a top-of-the-line prioritising system whereas Windows can't, which is why there are so many third-party CPU and RAM prioritizing software out there. And I agree that Macs are overpriced... but there are reasons to pay the extra to buy them... why else are they selling like... apple pies?

For example, the MacBook Air has a 1.86 Ghz processor, while the Sony VIAO has a 2.40 Ghz processor, at the same price. MacBook Air hard drive? 64-128 GB. VIAO hard drive? 500GB. MacBook, 2GB memory, VIAO, 4GB.

I prefer Microsoft.

I find Mac a bit constraining, as I tend to do things on my Windows 7 that you can't really do.

And also, I HATE iPod Touches, they're way so expensive and the market is abusing the popularity to make them MORE expensive! It's so annoying! I'd rather have a SmartPhone from Android, Windows Mobile, or someone else!

Re: Do you LOVE Microsoft?

Microsoft stinks.
When there is something better they buy it, they cant make anything. Their software is terrible and not stable at all. There computers crash within about a year of getting them. They just bought the now known as Internet Explorer and turned it in to a piece of junk. "If Microsoft made cars" Just to show how bad there software is.
1. For no reason whatsoever your car would crash twice a day.
2. Every time they repainted the lines on the road you would have to buy a new car.
3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason, and you would just accept this, restart and drive on.
4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn, would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.
5. Only one person at a time could use the car, unless you bought "Car95" or "CarNT." But then you would have to buy more seats.
6. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, reliable, five times as fast, and twice as easy to drive, but would only run on five per cent of the roads.
7. The oil, water temperature and alternator warning lights would be replaced by a single "general car default" warning light.
8. New seats would force everyone to have the same size butt.
9. The airbag system would say "Are you sure?" before going off.
10. Occasionally for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key, and grab hold of the radio antenna.
11. GM would require all car buyers to also purchase a deluxe set of Rand McNally road maps (now a GM subsidiary), even though they neither need them nor want them. Attempting to delete this option would immediately cause the car's performance to diminish by 50% or more. Moreover, GM would become a target for investigation by the Justice Department.
12. Everytime GM introduced a new model car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.
13. You'd press the "start" button to shut off the engine.
Read it you will see how bad their stuff is. Apple, Google anything over it.
PS: Apple rocks at computers. Do you see an Apple crash? Never. Apple computers are as solid as heck. So what? 1000$ for a computer that lasts 7 years without having to change software because everything still works. The most you will get out of a Microsoft is 2 years at max before they whole thing gets messed up.

Windows is so terrible compared to Apple. They dont crash? You must have never played an actual game on your PC you will crash. The updates stink. You shouldn't have to re download software every night. Microsoft does not test their things. You dont see Apple updating itself every night do you? They get it right the first time.

PROOF AGAIN!  yikes  ITS SUCH A SHOCK!!!!!!!!!
My 6 year old windows PC went 2 years then got a windows registery error. Didnt let me download anything. Now after 4 more years I cant even install service pack one. Not to even mention the requirements you have to meet to install things. Apples never have incompatible software with all computers. Windows=Viruses every night Apples never gets them.
