Weezer B-Sides are Awesome

Ok, so I remember not being able to find the Weezer album Pinkerton anywhere until I found the $27 deluxe edition. Annoyed, I bought it. I never listened to the B-Side/Unreleased songs until last week, but I am eating them up. They are really, really, good. Especially the blue album ones.

Some of my favorites are Jamie, Paperface, and Devotion.

I looked up why the B-Side songs were never on albums. Devotion and Waiting on You were not put on albums because Rivers Cuomo (frontman) was making an album called Songs From The Black Hole, which included the songs. Later on, he scrapped that idea and went with the opera themed album that we know and love as Pinkerton. He thought that they did not have enough opera influence.

Jamie however was not put on an album because it was placed on the DCG Rarities Volume 1. CD. Rivers wanted to put it on the album, but since it was a "rarity," they could not.

These are just a few of the awesome B-Sides that they have. There are more, like Susanne and Pig which I am too lazy to link to.

Anyway, think about getting a Deluxe Edition of Pinkerton or the Blue Album if you ever feel like buying one.

I have the deluxe version of Pinkerton, and I love it. I've heard almost all of the ones from Blue and Pinkerton, and I really like Teenage Victory Song from Green.
